1. Introduction
Welcome to Buy Express Uganda. By accessing or using our website, mobile application, or services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before making any purchase.
Buy Express ("we", "us", "our") is an ecommerce platform based in Uganda that connects customers with various products from trusted sellers. These terms apply to all users, visitors, and customers of our platform.
2. Definitions
"Platform" - The Buy Express website and mobile application.
"User" - Any individual or entity accessing or using our platform.
"Customer" - A user who purchases products through our platform.
"Seller" - A third-party vendor selling products through our platform.
"Products" - Goods listed for sale on our platform.
"Order" - A request to purchase products submitted by a customer.
3. Account Registration
To place orders on Buy Express, you may be required to create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
- Maintain the security of your password and account
- Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent to use our services
We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel orders at our sole discretion.
4. Orders and Payments
4.1 Order Placement
When you place an order, you agree to pay the total amount shown, including product prices, taxes, and delivery fees. All prices are in Ugandan Shillings (UGX).
4.2 Payment Methods
We accept the following payment methods:
- Cash on Delivery (COD)
- Mobile Money (MTN MoMo, Airtel Money)
- Bank Transfer
- Credit/Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard)
4.3 Order Confirmation
After placing an order, you will receive an email confirmation. This confirmation does not guarantee acceptance of your order. We reserve the right to cancel any order due to:
- Product unavailability
- Pricing errors
- Suspected fraudulent activity
- Inability to verify payment
5. Pricing and Promotions
5.1 Product Prices - All product prices are listed in UGX and include VAT unless stated otherwise.
5.2 Price Changes - We reserve the right to modify product prices at any time without prior notice.
5.3 Promotions - Promotional offers (Flash Sales, BOGO, Clearance, Bundles) are subject to specific terms including:
- Limited time availability
- Stock availability
- One promotion per order unless specified
- Cannot be combined with other offers
5.4 Discount Codes - Discount codes must be applied at checkout and may have expiration dates or minimum purchase requirements.
6. Shipping and Delivery
6.1 Delivery Areas - We currently deliver to select locations within Uganda. Please check our delivery policy for specific coverage areas.
6.2 Delivery Time - Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout. Standard delivery typically takes 2-5 business days, while express delivery takes 1-2 business days.
6.3 Delivery Fees - Delivery fees are calculated based on order value, product weight, and delivery location. Free delivery may be offered for qualifying orders.
6.4 Failed Deliveries - If delivery fails due to incorrect address or customer unavailability, additional fees may apply for re-delivery.
6.5 Risk of Loss - Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery. Please inspect products immediately upon receipt.
7. Returns and Refunds
7.1 Return Policy
You may return eligible products within 7 days of delivery if:
- The product is damaged or defective
- The wrong product was delivered
- The product does not match the description
7.2 Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
- Personal care products (if seal is broken)
- Perishable goods
- Digital downloads
- Clearance items (marked as final sale)
- Customized or personalized products
7.3 Refund Process
Approved refunds will be processed within 7-14 business days via the original payment method. Refunds for Cash on Delivery orders will be processed via mobile money or bank transfer.
8. Product Information
8.1 Accuracy - We strive to display accurate product information, including colors, specifications, and prices. However, we do not guarantee that descriptions are error-free.
8.2 Stock Availability - Products are subject to availability. If an item is out of stock after you place an order, we will notify you and offer alternatives or a full refund.
8.3 Third-Party Sellers - Some products are sold by third-party sellers. We act as a platform and are not responsible for seller-specific policies or product quality.
9. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any illegal purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Interfere with other users' transactions
- Upload malicious code or viruses
- Harvest user data without consent
10. Intellectual Property
All content on Buy Express, including logos, images, text, graphics, software, and trademarks, is our property or licensed to us and is protected by Ugandan and international copyright laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Buy Express shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our platform or purchase of products. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product in question.

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
13. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of our platform constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda.
